Find Us
By Road
We are only 2 miles from Junction 21 of the M1 and Fosse Park. We are also within 3 miles from Leicester City Centre.
Maps are available here (Google) and here (Multimap).
By Bus
- The "Arriva" Numbers 84, 84A & 85 go from St Margaret's Bus Station
- "Woods Coaches" operate the Numbers 10, 11 & 73, that all pass through Aylestone. I haven't used these, so please contact Woods to check services and stops.
- Centrebus operate the CircleLine (aka Outer Circle, or Numbers 40/41). Again, I've never used this bus myself.
By Rail
We are 3.1 miles from Leicester Railway Station. A taxi should cost not much more than £9.00 (although, please don't rely on that as an accurate figure, as these things can vary wildly!)
By Boat
We are only about 150m from the Grand Union Canal. Mooring is available to the North of the "Kings Lock". From there cross the bridge (Bridge 105, The Pack Horse Bridge), go under the Great Central Way, bear left along Sanvey Lane, then first left into Narrow Lane. You can find us on a map from waterscape.com
Walkers, cyclists, horse-riders and dogs.
As mentioned above, we are very close to the Grand Union Canal at the Pack Horse Bridge. Crossing over the canal at this point is the Great Central Way. This is a former railway line that has been regenerated for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders.
We are happy to welcome dogs into our beer garden, where a bowl of water is available. Dogs are also welcome in the bar (not the lounge or snug), so long as they are on a lead, well-behaved and not on the furniture. The pub has also been know to accommodate the occasional visitor on horseback - although we'd ask that horses are tied up in the yard and not brought into the bar :-)
